Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms apply to the harshkit.com website and the apps Harshkit publishes ("Apps"). By using the website or an App, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. Free, open-source software

Our Apps are free and open source. Each App's source code is published on GitHub under its own licence (for example, Kitflo uses the MIT License). That licence governs how you may use, copy, modify and distribute the code. If anything here conflicts with an App's licence, the licence wins for that App's code.

2. Your responsibilities

3. AI output

Some Apps use on-device AI to transcribe speech, label speakers and write notes. AI can make mistakes: words may be misheard, speakers mislabelled, and summaries incomplete. Check important output before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial or safety matters.

4. Third-party components

Apps may use third-party software and models (for example Apple frameworks, llama.cpp, Qwen and NVIDIA Parakeet), each under its own licence and terms. Some are downloaded the first time you use an App.

5. No warranty

The website and Apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't guarantee they will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Harshkit and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, recordings, profits or business, arising from your use of the website or Apps, even if advised of the possibility. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

7. Names and logos

"Harshkit", "Kitflo" and their logos identify our projects. The open-source licences cover the code, not the right to present your own version as an official Harshkit release. Please use a different name and icon for forks you distribute.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the website or Apps after a change means you accept the updated terms.
