Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Harshkit ("we", "us") makes free, open-source software. Privacy is the point of what we build: our apps are designed so your data stays on your own device. This policy covers the harshkit.com website and the apps we publish.
The short version
- Our apps run on your device. Your recordings, voice, text and settings are not sent to us.
- We have no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, in our apps or on this website.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal data, because we don't collect it.
Our apps
Each app processes your data locally, on your device. We run no servers that receive your app data, so there is nothing for us to store, read or share. App-specific details, such as which permissions an app asks for and which one-time model files it downloads, are in each app's own privacy policy:
- Kitflo Privacy Policy: voice dictation and meeting notes for Mac.
Some apps download open-source AI model files (for example from Hugging Face or Apple) the first time you use them. Those downloads fetch files only; none of your content is sent. The services hosting the files may see your IP address, under their own privacy policies.
This website
harshkit.com is a static website. We don't use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or forms. When you visit:
- Hosting: our host (Vercel) and GitHub, which serves our app pages, process standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under their own privacy policies.
- GitHub profile section: your browser loads our public profile, avatar and projects directly from GitHub's public API.
We don't receive or keep any of that data ourselves.
Children
We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
Your rights
Because we don't hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Your app data lives on your device, and you control it: deleting the app or its local files removes it. If you have a question or request, contact us and we'll help.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted on our GitHub.
